The TWP-440 can land on water  in an emergency.      Stability is aided by four

inflatable emergency floatation bags on each side that provide extra buoyancy.

 

Its tandem rotors gives to the TWP-440 excellent stability,   powerful lifting capacity

and superior handling in difficult weather conditions.

Missions: Vertical replenishment ( VERTREP ) , Search and Rescue (SAR ) transport of personals, supplies, equipments, evacuation operation, aero medical service.

 

Engines are mounted on the rear rotor pedestal. A drive shaft runs to each rotors

 and in the event of an emergency, either engine can drive both rotors.
